Maria Santiago-Valentín -Founding President and Board Vice President
I Ms. Santiago founded the New Jersey Coalition of Climate Justice on April 29,2017. She served as the Vice-Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee of Sierra Club in New Jersey, and has served on the Organizing for Action Climate Change Issue Team from 2012 until 2019. In June 2020 this organization transitioned to ACJA.
Hector Torres -Board President
Born and raise in Puerto Rico, live in New York since the 1980’s. Studied archaeology in Westchester Community College also Diesel Mechanics in New York Lincoln Tech. Currently works as a Certified Hybrid Propulsion System Mechanic for New York City Transit. Official Member of Local 100 to advocate for employees rights. President of the Board of Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance he has a commitment for Climate Justice.

Deanee Rios Gomez- Executive Director We are pleased and honored to welcome the Executive Director of the Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance, Inc. Mrs. Deanee Rios Gomez, who lives in New York City. She is currently a Climate Reality Project Leader. We are truly thankful to have an Executive Director who has 28 years of experience in the environmental industry, who won awards in her journey and who has been consultant for elected officials in Puerto Rico and USA. She is also a seasoned educator.
Dr. Elsie Aquino-Gonzalez, PhD- Board Member
She is a researcher and an Eco-Justice educator with a background in film and video. er research interest include Eco-Justice, Environmental Education, Ecology, Sustainability, Film, and Video. She has presented her research at the Ecological Society of America (ESA), the Eco-Justice Conference in Eastern Michigan University, The Holistic Conference at Souther Oregon University, and in 2018, became a leader in the Climate Reality Project founded by Al Gore.

Born and Raised in Puerto Rico. Now lives in Virginia and works as a Programmer for ADT Security Systems. A Trustee and Technical Support Director Newly appointed by Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance in the New Restructuration Program. Studied a Bachelor’s degree in Video Games Designer and Programming.
