Update:  July 20, 2020 We became the Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance

March 19, 2019 we are expanding our voices with

the contributions of Climate Activists from New York

The Coalition was formed as a result and ultimate goal of the New Jersey People's Climate Movement Rally at Warinanco Park on April 29, 2017.

Our ultimate goal is the linking of the causes of social justice and those of the fight to protect the environment.

About

Mission:

ACJA is committed to building and strengthening a wide culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity. And its uniquely global and diverse members, staff, administration, and communities—toward a more inclusive future. ACJA will immediately expel any member who discriminate for race, ethnicity, age, different abilities, color, sex LGBTQ communities or religion.

The Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance (ACJA) is a non-governmental collective of rural and urban community-based organizations focused on education and advocacy of underrepresented communities, race and ethnicity, economic development, and poverty alleviation — all with the wider aim of addressing climate change. Founded in 2017, ACJA is rooted in the environmental justice movement in that it centers efforts around educating, humanitarian relief and advocacy against the disproportionate harm of climate change on marginalized communities.

The stated goal of ACJA is to create "[apply] the power of deep grassroots organizing to win local, regional, statewide, national and international shifts" regarding climate change and unjust exposure of marginalized communities to its damaging effects.
